They have great passion for taking photos and most of time they spend much of time with cameras. Most of studios and media houses look for photographers who can take good quality photos. You find that a media station can employ photographers from different countries who can take up photos which can make news and send them via internet. They are paid depending on how many photos they take per day. They are supposed to have digital cameras because they are simpler to use and they make work to be faster.
