Buying used tires are good for reserve. If you are strapped for budget, this is the best way that you can deal with it. Besides you will only need it for emergency situations which means that the tire would not get used heavily and even if you do, there’s a big chance that you would replace the damaged brand new one with another brand new item the soonest chance you can.
The important thing here is to consider how old the tire is. Ask this to your seller and make it a point to know as much as you can about the history of the secondhand tire you wish to buy. This way you can figure out if it is still of the right quality for the purpose you have in mind. This would also help you evaluate if it’s worth the amount you are being asked to pay for it.
Just take your time when it comes to choosing your tires. Take time to know your sellers as well.
