DIY Nirvana: What I'd Change About My House

Now that I have the money to fix up my house, there are many things I would love to change about it. Bench saws and a collection of other tools mean I also have the equipment to do the work too.
The first thing that I would change is my kitchen - it hasn't changed for twenty years! I would first tackle the cabinets and put new oak ones up. Secondly I would change the old particle board countertops with either concrete or granite of some sort. Next I would put up the black splash in some kind of easy pattern that could easily be changed in a few years if I decided I want to change it. Next I would go shopping for appliances and buy top of the line stainless steel. I would also put up some type of track lighting or recessed lighting in the ceiling to give it that relaxed ambiance. The last thing I would tackle is the floor. That too is also a laminate. I would rip it all up by myself and install bamboo hardwood. There are also many other things that I would change about my house but, I believe this is a major improvement that I would want to do.
