My neighbor and his wife have been on unemployment for a long time. It frustrates me that they sit around all day and do nothing. Why is it people, on unemployment, get to do nothing for our tax money? The unemployment benefits calculation would be 70% of the weekly salary in our state. The only thing they do to get this money is go on the computer and lie about where they went to look for work. There are so many people out of work. The government continues to extend the benefits. People would be out looking for work if they knew in a few weeks their benefits would run out. The system is so backed up behind they cannot do a check on if the facts are true or false on what one enters on their weekly chart. I believe in benefits for the people that are really in need. We should make people on unemployment work for our cities to get their benefits. Some of the people who are computer literate could help out with paperwork. Labor workers could help with landscape work or snow shoveling. They should have to log in with someone every day. We need to stop giving our tax money to lazy people. |
