Often we see advertisements for accident helplines. These are large companies which often have brand names that we recognise. They will deal with all sorts of personal injury claims from car accidents to accident at work compensation.
These companies can be good if you do not want to spend very long researching your solicitor. It is a good idea to do this research because you will know that the solicitor you have chosen will be good. You will know more about them, what type of work they do and what they are like to deal with. However, using a big company like this might make you feel more secure if there are any problems. You may feel that you will have more come back with them because they are a big national company.
What they tend to do, is to put you in touch with a solicitor that is local to you. This means that you can visit them if you want to and discuss the case face to face, which can be a much better way of doing things. Some people much prefer to discuss things in this way. You might think that being allocated to a solicitor like this will mean that you will be given one that is good, because the company may make sure that the solicitors they use are all good.
Of course, this will all depend on the company you use and so you may feel better choosing the solicitor yourself rather than going through a company like this. It is worth finding out a little bit more about them so that you can make that decision. It is worth making sure that you are in control of the decision making and then you will have no one to blame if things do not turn out as you had hoped.
