Work Experiences

My career began when I was 11 years old as a dishwasher in our family-owned restaurant. Later I was promoted to making pizzas! When I was 15 years old, I began servicing customers. Today, I continue servicing customers on a part-time basis. After high school, I earned a Secretarial Certificate from Robert Morris College. My first job was working as a Legal Secretary for a Chicago law firm. Later I attended Illinois State University graduating in 1986 with a Business degree and a minor in Business Information Systems. I began installing pre-collection hospital information systems on a DEC microcomputer utilizing a relational database. A few years later, I installed billing/registration hospital information systems for a large software vendor. After leaving the company, I began leading a registration installation project for a large hospital/clinic facility in Champaign, Illinois. Years later, I returned to the large software vendor working as an Account Coordinator managing customer services issues. In 2001, I worked as an Office Manager/Marketing Coordinator working on marketing materials, client coordination, website creation and website maintenance. Within the last few years while working two jobs, I earned a Certificate in Web Development. Currently, I work as an Educator for Crete Monee Middle School and develop websites on a contract basis.
